Summer Topic Courses @ Refuge

"Refuge is a drawing and painting studio, designed to assist young artists who are seeking serious portfolio development, playful artistic self-expression, and everything in between. With a strong emphasis on positive community outreach and development of critical thinking skills, each student is offered a personalized approach to art-making, regardless of experience.

Refuge offers portfolio coaching and art instruction through small class sizes within the Western Avenue Studios community. Students are encouraged to work on goals geared towards meeting the individual requirements of their programs of choice. I will be teaching a Fine Arts and Portfolio Course: Drawing Place & Understanding Space. Student artists will explore the theme of place and space from observation, imagination and memory. An emphasis will be placed on understanding the technical skills of perspective, depth, and value.
